The University of Illinois Extension Forestry Program will host a free webinar July 12 on ideas to generate income from privately owned woodlands. Landowners will explore income-generating specialty products and recreational services in the webinar that starts at 6 p.m. Purdue University Extension Forester Lenny Farlee will cover such topics as sourcing medicinal herbs, fruits, nuts and craft items from woodlands. He will also explore how owners can provide services by leasing land to the public for hunting, camping and other recreational opportunities.
