RED MAPLE (ACER RUBRUM)

The red maple is an excellent landscape tree.  It has an oval to rounded crown and smooth gray bark as a young tree. The lobed leaves are a nice bright green and develop beautiful fall colors ranging from clear yellow to orange to vivid red. Red maple requires full sun for best fall color.  Prefers moist soils but tolerates a wide range of moisture conditions.  Growth rate is moderate to rapid.  Height reaching 50-70 feet.  FULL TO PART SUN.
